The Accounting Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, management and coordination of all activities and operations within the accounting department and concerning the accounting department’s staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cash Management: Proactively work open receivables, identify delinquent accounts, participate in active collection to facilitate payment within terms and to encourage customers to take advantage of early payment discounts while alerting Sr. Management when accounts are behind.
  • Daily Banking; supervises daily cash balancing and forecasts future cash requirements.
  • Commissions: Liaison between the sales force, human resources and accounting with respect to monthly commission pay-out.
  • Bi-monthly Payroll-related journal entries and employee benefits, payroll taxes reconciliations.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors systems for general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collections.
  • Reviews and analyzes the organization’s accounting operation; establishes, develops, and/or recommends economic objectives and policies to management.
  • Manages monthly accounting close and assists with Fiscal year-end close.
  • Responsible for maintaining a complete set of accounting records for the company, including fixed assets (invoice copies), vehicle titles, loan documents, journal entries, depreciation schedules.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Human Resources, the Assistant Manager HR/Recruiter is responsible for: researching job posting platforms to find talent for open positions, recruits, interviews, screens, and refers job candidates for job openings. You will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, such as organizing trainings, employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies.   • Ability to work autonomously and be able to present results when requested.
  • Responsible for achieving sales goals and staying within assigned promotional spend budget.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Must always maintain ethical sales behavior towards customers and store personnel.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responsible for covering cost of travel and entertainment for job responsibilities and expenses. Minimum $5000 credit line availability is required to meet potential work-related expenses and will be reimbursed twice monthly.
  • Vehicle in good operating condition is required.
  • Current, valid driver’s license and current insurance coverage with a minimum liability limit of 100,000.00/300,000.00 is required.
  • Work will be performed largely in the field (stores, conferences, expos, etc.) not at home base, with travel being at least 60%.
  • The employee is required to travel frequently by car, plane, or other means.
  • Hours of work will be mainly during regular customer business hours.
  • Variation in work hours due to employee and customer schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other situations will exist and must be planned for accordingly.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit and reach and must be able to move around the work environment.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
